Star arrowed is Tycho 3162-665-1 or KIC8462852, also known as Tabby's star in Cygnus and is 1480 light years from earth and around 12th magnitude. This star was identified by the Kepler space telescope as having irregular changes in brightness that could not be explained by the presence of planets or by known variable star theories. It has been postulated that this may be due to the presence of an Alien civilisation perhaps building a Dyson ring or swarm. Seti researchers, however, have studied the star and found no evidence of radio transmissions, although perhaps a civilisation capable of modifying their star no longer communicates this way.
